School Spotlight: Beech Hill Elementary

At Beech Hill, our Beacons are shining brighter than ever through the Shake and Shine program — a powerful initiative designed to help students master soft skills that are essential for success in today’s world.

Through real-world exercises, students build confidence and learn the six key elements of effective and engaging communication:

• Initiating a conversation
• Responding to questions
• Maintaining eye contact
• Exhibiting confidence, personality, poise, and posture
• Closing a conversation

These vital skills prepare our students to thrive in both personal and professional environments.

This year marked Beech Hill’s fourth year participating in this incredible program, and we are proud to share that five students represented the school at the national Amazing Shake competition hosted by the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia!

 Competing alongside nearly 400 5th through 8th graders from across the country, our Beacons demonstrated grace, grit, and the power of a polished first impression.
