It’s raining, it’s pouring! Yikes!

Rainy days are always so hectic. We want parents to feel good about all aspects of the dismissal process. We also want them to have a voice in making sure their children are arriving home safe and stress free.

From now on, we will ask parents of walkers to e-mail or call the school to communicate the rainy day dismissal plan for their own children.

You will be able to notify us as late as 1:45.

If we do not hear from parents, we will allow students to walk home in the rain.

Although we would never allow children to walk when lightning is present, other factors may also determine if routes are safe for students.

We appreciate input from parents as we all work to keep students safe.
